Julien Charnay-Rousset is involved in all aspects of tax advice and litigation.

He has developed a specific expertise in private assets related matters as well as in the assistance of directors in the reorganisation and transfer of their companies.

He also assists top-level athletes.

Julien Charnay-Rousset has participated in the organisation of numerous groups around the notion of managing holding company in order to secure the preferential regime applicable to certain gratuitous transfers as well as the professional nature of the director’s shareholding with regards to wealth tax.

He has also organized cross-generation donations with the reincorporation of previous donations.

Professional experience

Julien Charnay-Rousset began his career in the firm Requet Chabanel in 1989 before joining the firm Coopers and Lybrand in 1993. Two years later, he joined the firm Lyon Juriste (which then merged with OJFI-Alister giving rise to Ydès in 2012), in which he very quickly became a partner.

Educational background

Admitted to the Lyon Bar, Julien Charnay-Rousset graduated with a DJCE (company lawyer master degree) and a DESS (specialised master degree) in taxation from Lyon III University and holds a Certificate of Specialisation in taxation law from the Montpellier law faculty.


Julien Charnay-Rousset participates, in the context of a skill-based sponsorship, in the activities of the foundation France Répit.
