Ydes represents the Agency for the Protection of Programs (APP) in its capacity as a professional defense body

Ydes represented the Agency for the Protection of Programs (APP) before the Paris Criminal Court in the “Bulltrack – Snowtigers” matter. In a decision rendered on November 8, 2016, the criminal court sentenced the defendants, who were accused of participating in the “Bulltrack” and “Snowtigers” websites, used to host and to post counterfeit audiovisual and musical works and software on the Internet.

The APP, together with SACEM, the National Federation of Film Distributors, the S.E.V.N., the production companies 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, Columbia Picture, Disney Enterprises Inc., Paramount Pictures Corporation, Universal City Studios, Warner Bros Inc., Tristar Pictures Inc., the SCPP and the SDRM, represented by their respective Counsels, were admitted as civil parties to the proceedings and were granted an overall amount of 1.3 million euros in damages.

Furthermore, Ydes had assisted the APP in the OMG Torrent matter, before the Châlons-en-Champagne Criminal Court, which had, in particular, sentenced the owner of this download site to one year imprisonment (including 4 months suspended sentence) on
September 14, 2016, and awarded a total of five (5) million euros in damages for all the civil parties.
